IEEE Region 1 is the geographic area defined by all of Northeastern USA plus New York and New Jersey.

Region 1 is sub-divided into four Areas: Central Area, Western Area, Northeastern Area and Southern Area.  The Connecticut Section is one of six Sections in the Southern Area of Region 1.

The Region 1 Winter Meeting was held in downtown Hartford from March 9 to March 11, 2012.  Presentations from that meeting are available online at this link.
